A Decision Diagram Operation for Reachability

Saturation is considered the state-of-the-art method for computing fixpoints with decision diagrams. We present a relatively simple diagram operation called REACH that also computes fixpoints. In contrast to saturation, it does not require partitioning of transition relation. give sequential algorithms implementing new both binary and multi-valued diagrams, moreover provide parallel counterparts. implement these experimentally compare their performance against saturation on 692 model checking benchmarks in different languages. The results show often outperforms especially relations low locality. comparison between parallelized versions we find obtains comparable speedups up 16 cores, although falls behind at 64 cores. Finally, tool ITS-tools 29% models, suggesting can be useful as complementary an ensemble tool.
